IBM and Microsoft Team Up

July 22, 1980 - A team of IBM and Microsoft representatives meet in Boca Raton, Florida to discuss an operating system designed by Microsoft for IBM's new PC. Microsoft would go on to buy an OS design from Seattle Computing Company, which IBM would use in the PC. Unfortunately for IBM, Microsoft licensed the use of the QDOS/MS-DOS to other PC clone makers, nearly putting IBM out of business. Go in-depth into the decision that put Microsoft at the forefront of software development.
