Happy Friday! 😎

Attackers continue to move past the front door and into overlooked systems.

Lately, we’ve seen phishing campaigns take over enterprise Facebook pages using fake copyright takedown notices, crafted with real company details. One click, and malware side-loads through trusted applications, hiding in the same file types your team uses daily.

At the same time, techniques like PipeMagic never even touch disk, flying under the radar of file-based defenses.

On a much larger scale, Rapper Bot shows how fast threats can scale: 95,000 compromised IoT devices became 370,000 DDoS attacks, even hitting Pentagon-owned IPs.

Bottom line: Endpoints and firewalls aren’t enough. If it’s connected, whether it’s public-facing, third-party, or consumer-grade, it needs to be on your risk map.

🚨 Get in the Know:

  • Cyber law expiration looms, and national security could feel the drop.

  • Résumé not required: ShinyHunters breach Workday.

  • Tech layoffs top 80,000 in 2025, F5 joins the trend.
